THE BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA.

** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!


STEP TWO

** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

My List:

1. Well, I think most people know my biggest wishes are impossible to do anything about or be filled by anything but the PTB (powers that be). So I'll leave this one up to them. If they're listening, I'm on my knees begging.

2. I would love love LOVE to meet any and all of my online friends. Including the ones I already have (I miss you Jor and Tar! And Sha! ). I'd love to somehow be able to go to them or have them come to me. I love you all! I especially wish I had the money or the way to bring beloved Chris ( =backshadow ) down here for January.

3.I know I'm making silly wishes that can't come true, but...I miss my Hampshire family so very much and my Phillip's darlings. I wish I could have them back with me, somehow have both places be one (oh god, that would actually be hilarious and horrific). I especially want my Yanni, Alex, and Alexis back in Massachusetts (or I wish I could visit Philly and Italy, lol).

4. I wish I had my own car so I'd have more freedom. (Yeah, big wish there)

5. I always wish for snail mail. There really isn't all that much to look forward to for me in the real world, so getting the mail is the highlight of my day, because I can believe there will be mail from friends for me in there, even though most days of course there isn't XD I get excited about anything, even if someone were to send me a sock or something. 6. It's so silly, but I have been wishing for a long time for fanart of Reno (from FFVII) and Faith (from Buffy) together. I know...strange and unusual, but there you go. I think they'd be UBER sexy together XD Even if it's het. I actually love some het, like Buffy/Angel, Buffy/Spike, Aragorn/Arwen, among others. I'd love any fanart, really, from the fandoms I like (which I think are obvious to most people).

7. Along the same line, I ADORE art of any of my characters, by themselves, with each other, with other characters, whatever :3 Each of my characters has their own little folder/gallery here: [link] (I would LOVE LOVE LOVE angst art XD if it has tears, death, blood...I wish for it. Though..um...not pointless violence or something, if that makes sense? I love art that has emotion :3 but hey, senseless violence has it's place yeah? XD Pronz is always fun too ;3 )

8. Uhhh materialist wish? I am madly in love with anything TokiDoki: [link] . I especially love any of the stuff with the wee unicorno or the hello kitty crossover things. I also just love the style, so art in that style wins my heart (and is not so hella expensive D: )

9.Um...*ponders* I think I've run out of wishes D: I wish for happiness and health for myself, friends, and family. And for all of my friends and family's wishes to come true this holiday season. Unless they're wishing for nuclear war or something...

10. I'll come back for this one maybe? D: Um My Little Pony stuff? I dunno XD
